NFCC is seeking a Business Development Specialist to support the fundraising and business development function of the organization. This position will actively perform research to identify donor and partner prospects, and perform other business development activities including writing grants, proposals, and presentations. This individual will manage donor and partner progress reporting and other day-to-day communications with grantors and other program partners. Further you will support NFCC executives and volunteer leadership as they grow the organization’s relationships with financial institutions, foundations, other partner organizations, and member agencies.
Research, prepare and write grants, proposals and presentations to support donor and partner development.
Research potential donors, prospects and member partners, to bring relevant intelligence to the development process.
Ensure timely delivery of grant progress reports and fulfillment of partnership and grant requirements.
Administer the fundraising pipeline reporting process accurately tracking prospects, pending proposals, and secured or declined commitments.
Produce partner and donor progress reports, ensuring all involved in the fundraising and partnership development process are kept informed and current.
Support the Vice President of Business Development and other NFCC executives and key volunteer leaders as they proactively interact with donors, partners, member agencies, other nonprofits, government agencies, and other financial institutions.
Research, develop and manage a program to identify and support regional fundraising opportunities for NFCC members.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Two years of results-focused, relevant experience to include grant writing and research, fundraising and business development for a relevant not-for-profit organization.
Skilled in creating powerful, compelling written and oral communications for fundraising based on data-driven analysis.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
