Full Time - Entry Level
The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, a non-profit women’s membership organization, has full-time opportunity in the Development Office for a Development Assistant to oversee a wide variety of administrative and clerical responsibilities in support of NSDAR stewardship programs.
Responsibilities will focus on carrying out administrative and operational aspects of the development office, specifically answering the phone, sorting, organizing and distributing correspondence, information and materials to donors and staff; preparing and shipping materials for state conferences; working with staff in coordinating and facilitating stewardship programs related to online, in-kind and special projects donations; assisting with promoting and updating the matching gifts program, and preparing correspondence and coordinating logistics of donor recognition and acknowledgments.
Minimum six months of administrative assistant or customer service experience in a business/office environment
Experience working in a Development Office or nonprofit environment will considered favorably
Experience interacting and assisting the public in a customer service environment.
Must be able to interact with members, the public, and staff in a positive, professional manner, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally by email and phone.
Ability to be detailed and multi-task oriented as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities, constant interruptions and meeting tight deadlines. Ability to proof work and demonstrate attention to accuracy.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and sharp data entry
Ability to act with a high degree of tact and diplomacy, apply good judgement and maintain confidentiality
