As the director of the Enterprise Club at the American Enterprise Institute, you will develop relationships with young individual donors and prospects across the U.S., introduce them to our scholars’ work, spearhead strategy for this donor group, and engage in significant travel to expand Enterprise Club membership and revenue.

Members of this growing international network share AEI’s non-partisan mission and are selected based on depth of intellectual interest in policy, record of achievement, and potential for future impact.
About the Enterprise Club Director position:
As the director of the Enterprise Club, you will build relationships with donors and prospects to grow membership in quality and quantity, generate major gifts for AEI, and convert members into life-long AEI donors. We are seeking an outgoing, entrepreneurial, goal-oriented, organized individual. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Frequently traveling to the 14 Enterprise Club chapters across the country to meet with members, recruit prospects, and staff events.
Producing strong annual growth in membership and revenue. Soliciting members for their annual support and creating strategy for asks to increase/lift.
Work closely with the manager of Enterprise Club to introduce new ideas and processes to improve members’ experiences.
Work with Enterprise Club chapter leaders to discuss strategies for events, prospects, and growth in each city.
5+ years of high-impact post-college work experience. Sales, client/account management, fundraising, and relationship management experience is a plus.
Ability to travel 60-80% of the time.
Demonstrated interest in public policy and AEI’s mission.
Demonstrated ability to build a large number of close relationships with donors, in a professional context and on behalf of AEI.
High level of understanding of how to leverage networks and connections among people.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement.
Demonstrated capabilities in team work and leadership.
